In university, I ran a live radio show with one of my best friends for an hour every week. We split that hour between music and discussion, either pitting our musical tastes against each other or poking fun or just talking about weird events in the last week, and every so often we got a few callers. That semester taught me a lot about FCC guidelines, radio and audio equipment, handling technical problems, public speaking and getting people to loosen up, and if I’d been less busy I would’ve started it up again.
